The PCDD project “When Women Speak CEDAW #1” funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Lebanon, achieved two main objectives in Lebanon. Firstly, it organized town hall meetings to promote a better understanding of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) among participants. Secondly, the project translated CEDAW content into a dialect language and presented it in a schematic format to familiarize Lebanese women with its terms and articles. Overall, the project aimed to empower women by providing knowledge about their rights and encouraging their active participation in advocating for gender equality.
